A few friends of mine got me HOOKED on this show.
Its new TV show where 4 artists (Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine) sit with their backs facing a stage
And as contestants come out on the stage and sing, these 4 artists have to judge them by only their voice. No appearance is made to the judges yet
If the any of the artists like what they hear, they can push their little red button, causing their chair to turn around so they can see who they liked. Once they turn around, they have chosen this contestant to be on their team, and the artist acts as a coach, rather than a judge. If more than one artist turns around, then the contestant gets to decide who they want to be their coach based on how well the artist convinces them.
Once each artist has 8 members on their team, they coach their members and see who rises to the top. They get eliminated by vote, and the winner gets a recording contract.
Its a fun competition between both the contestants and the coaches!
I am only past the blind auditions, still have a little catching up to do. I wasn't ever a huge American Idol fan, but I am a Voice fan!
