Neat Ideas for Your Home!

I am always on the hunt for things to make my home run a little more smooth. Or is it smoother? I never know these things....

Anywho, here are a few of my favorite things! Check 'em out and love me forever. :)

Simmer orange peels and a bit of cinnamon for a lovely smelling home, I did this with lemon peels when we first moved into this house and it really freshened things up!

Shoe organizers are also great for organizing all of your cleaning supplies, beats digging around under my kitchen sink!

Hot glue rocks to felt to make these lovely hot pads!

Wine racks double as a towel hanger, love this, it looks so much better than a million towels thrown all over our bathroom wall!

Secure cheap towel or curtain rods behind your cabinets to store lids! I need to find me some rods on sale!

And just because....

I made this lovely today, NOW I'm ready for Winter. ;) A simple tutorial coming soon!

I'd love to hear some of your favorite house tricks!

  4. I love the shoe organizer for cleaning supplies. If I didn't have 4 little kiddies and need to store them on the highest shelf possible in the house, I would totally do that!
One of my tricks of the trade is: I use baskets, drawer dividers, shoe boxes for everything! I like everything to have a specific place and things separated so that they are easy to retreive and put back. Lately though, I have been purchasing "prettier" containers to put things in so that things are nicer to look at (I just redid my laundry area; everything was sorted out and stored in cardboard boxes, but I switched them out for some metal "industrial" baskets and it looks much nicer. :) Did you see the wreath I made, following your tutorial? Thanks! Love it. :)
